Forrest Paint is a local paint store, owned and operated in Eugene, Oregon. We manufacture the best paints for our beloved Pacific Northwest. Our exterior and interior coatings, primers, stains, and specialty paints are produced in a sustainable and environmentally conscious manner. We serve homeowners and contractors alike and strive to invest in and support our local communities.
Our Forrest Paint family employs over 100 local residents. Our employees include in-house chemists, technical experts, and trained paint store staff that help you find the best paint for your project. We produce our paints locally, in our facilities here in Eugene, Oregon. We are grateful to boast an incredibly skilled staff who creates and sells paint for everything from your living room to rockets and motorcycles.
We pride ourselves in being the only locally-owned factory-direct paint manufacturer in the southern-Willamette Valley. Our local roots have helped us hone in on the best paint formulas for our region and climate and offer our products at a great price to our customers. Operating locally has also given us opportunities to contribute to community projects and non-profits in lasting and meaningful ways.
While paint can bring beauty to our community, the environmental side-effects from manufacturing paint can be a little less pretty. From the very beginning of Forrest Paint, we've taken steps towards environmental sustainability. We recycle our water and solvents, diligently protect our watersheds, and operate a bacterial air filter to reduce air pollution. In 2009, we were lead advocates in advancing Oregon's paint recycling program, and in 2019 we were recognized as Exemplary Ethical Business Leader of the Year by Bushnell University. We are also proud to produce our own brand of Forrest recycled paint.
Forrest Paint was founded in 1973 by Scott Forrest. He intended to serve his local community with excellent paint, produced in an environmentally responsible way and sold at an affordable price. We want to say that he got off on that right foot.
Forrest Paint now has over 100 full-time employees who create tried and true formulas and offer many different paint products to our community. Today, Scott's son, Mark, leads the business and continues to move forward in more environmentally conscious ways, while providing high-quality paint in the Pacific Northwest.
